Neha is excited, naturally, and said, “The story is about Chris wanting to be part of a Bollywood project, coming to Mumbai and doing a film here. I’m playing the actress opposite him.” She got the role through her friend Tabrez Noorani, a line producer of Slumdog Millionaire, who is assisting in Bollywood Hero’s production along with Mumbai choreographer Longinus Fernandes. “I gave an audition in the US after which I got the role,” added Neha, clarifying, “It’s not that after Slumdog won the Oscars this production house decided to do the mini series in Mumbai. I was on this project even before that.”
Though she has no qualms about acting in a television show in the West, Neha’s apprehensive of doing one for Indian television. “If we have a production house as big as IFC and if they have a script as good as this one and promote it the way this show will be, then I might agree to do it... otherwise I don’t think so,” admitted Neha.
