Some top Bollywood actresses are likely to scorch the ramp on the opening day of Delhi Fashion Week.Designer Tarun Tahiliani , who’ll show his latest collection on the evening of the first day (March 19) of DFW, will reportedly have a Bollywood actress as the ultimate showstopper on his show. It could be any one of the three actresses – Shilpa Shetty , Katrina Kaif or Deepika Padukone .
Tahiliani’s favorite Shilpa has sashayed the catwalk for a number of his shows. Katrina, who has shot an exclusive photo shoot for the designer, can be a surprise package. The news is abuzz that Deepika, too, can walk the ramp for Tarun.
The fusion of Bollywood and fashion is getting stronger and designers often choose their celebrity friends to add that extra starry glitz to the shows. And with the clash of different fashion weeks, the competition to grab more eyeballs has only gotten fiercer.
Tarun Tahiliani decided to showcase his collection at DFW instead of WIFW, Wills India Fashion Week, and his creations will be the main attraction of the fashion week’s first day. Actress Deepika Padukone’s name is also up for a show to be presented jointly by Rina Dhaka and Ranna Gill. The show will be on 21st March. But it’s not confirmed yet.
Karisma Kapoor , who is based in Delhi, is also likely to walk the ramp at DFW.
